Wreck on U.S. Highway 75 sends one man to hospital
BY MARY JANE FARMER
HERALD DEMOCRAT
About 1 p.m., Thursday, a 2010 International bobtail truck, driven by Kenneth Bunton, 51, of Independence, Mo., was traveling north on U.S. Highway 75. It rounded a corner and the driver did not see the vehicles ahead of his cab slowing down as they funneled into one lane. He took evasive action to avoid a collision, but struck a silver 2006 Dodge 4-door driven by Geoffrey Ewing II, 38, of Dallas, then a 1999 Chevy pickup driven by Wesley Ray Goza, 29, of Denison.
The Chevy pickup was undamaged and Goza, uninjured, drove it away, Eppler said.
Denison paramedics freed Ewing from the wreck, and his injuries are considered life-threatening, Denison Police Lt. Mike Eppler said. At 9 p.m., he was in Parkland Hospital's intensive care unit.
