Greater Texoma Utility Authority calls special meeting

Water and sewer projects, including an additional 50,000 acre feet of water storage in Lake Texoma, fill the agenda of Greater Texoma Utility Authority Board of Directors special meeting at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the GTUA Board Room 5100 Airport Drive in Denison, at the North Texas Regional Airport.
Directors will consider issues surrounding the acquiring the extra water including a storage purchase contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The Board also will consider and take action on:
* authorizing the city of Prosper to join the Upper Elm Fork Sewer Study;
* awarding contracts for the "B" and "C" U.S. Highway 75 North sewers for Sherman;
* authorizing a change order to the contract with TraC-n-trol for the city of Anna;
* accepting a contract with Lynn Vessels Construction LLC for the Howe 12-inch waterline project;
* awarding a contract for the 24-inch water transmission line;
* authorize filing an application for assistance from the Texas Water Development Board for the city of Gainesville.
The Board also will hear comments during the "Citizens to be Heard" section of the meeting. They will consider the monthly financial reports and designating investment officers for the Authority.
