Crash snarls traffic near Howe

BY MARY JANE FARMER

HERALD DEMOCRAT

HOWE -- A single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning on U.S. Highway 75 sent the driver to a Dallas hospital and pushed southbound commuter traffic to a standstill for about an hour.

Howe Police Sgt. James Doyle said the police department is searching for the driver of another vehicle which did not strike the 1986 Chevrolet Celebrity, but which may have been otherwise involved. Police have identified the other driver and, Doyle said, hopes he will go to the police station to make a statement.

The injured driver is a teenager, who's identification is, for the time being, being withheld.

What a wreck : 11/20/2009
This wreck looked horrible. I drove by it on the way to work. I said a prayer for whoever was in that crumpled , upside down vehicle. It's hard to imagine anyone getting out alive. God bless this person and good luck.
