Live Blog -- Battle of the Ax

You know what it is. The Battle of the Ax.

Hey : 10/26/2011
It's better than the Sherman coach not talking at all.

Just sayin

Really: : 10/25/2011
I think the comment sounded like the Coach had low expectations compared to previous interviews in the years past. I know we can get into comparing talent, but the comment just didn't sound positive.

Hmm : 10/25/2011
Then what are they exactly if they're not teenagers? Last time I checked these are 14-18 year-old kids. You guys need to quit thinking about all of your past failures and putting these youngsters on such high pedestals. If you're so good, then go get Coach White to give you his playbook and go do it yourselves! HMM?

Really?

interview : 10/24/2011
Yeah, I saw that interview too. Says alot about his program.

Football program : 10/24/2011
Hope they get it together before my grandson gets up there. Looks like basic fundamentals need more attention in practice. And Coach White's comment about "they are just a bunch of teenage boys playing football" is a joke. Thats kids in the street. Not kids that are in athletics going through a program! He sure is trying to play this season down.

The Radio Guys : 10/23/2011
My least favorite Lynn Burkhead comment is "one man to beat.... oh...." And you hear it about fifty times a game. I like him though, and REALLY like Ed Meachum too! As an ex pro-player, he knows the game! I go to every game far and near, but always liked the replays on Cable One to hear the commentary I'd missed. I wish we still had them!

Sherman will be in whatever district that Denison will be in next year Unless, Sherman goes to 5A and that would be a tuff situation. And your right, The announcers are scatter shooters {all over the place).

D troubles! : 10/22/2011
The D-Line is to small, is and will be the issue when we lose in playoffs!

game : 10/22/2011
They might do better if they go back to that soft district in Mckinney. But if they get Denton or Wichita it may be the same thing as this year.
One word to the radio announcers, I had to wait about 10 minutes before I knew what the actual score was. All they kept saying is "IF" Denison wouldn't have done this, or "IF" Denison would run down the field, or "IF" this "IF that, Denison would have ? on the scoreboard. Just call the game like it is.

BOTA : 10/22/2011
Good game from both schools. Oh, The Turnovers by the Jackets. Denison kept it interesting for a while. 4 turnovers in key situations in the first half doomed the Jackets. Good luck to the Bearcats. The Cats Offense is a solid Unit. The Cats Defense had better shore-up before the Playoffs. Denison will be back to competitive level football next year Probably in a new District.
