Another week and more pep
There will be another community pep rally this for the Denison football team Thursday night at 6 p.m. at Blake Utter Ford.
Yellow Jacket fans are encouraged to attend and support the start of the playoffs. Denison faces Dallas Conrad at 7:30 p.m. at Hanby Stadium in Mesquite on Friday.
At the pep rally there will be hot dogs and drinks as well as performances by the DHS band, cheerleaders and drill team.
Playoff t-shirts will also be available for purchase for $15.

I agree...not at a business. It really should be at some school facility. And please let's cheer more for the team than the cheerleaders this time. The cheerleaders and the band are great and football games wouldn't be the same without them, but aren't pep rallies for the team? How about introducing the players? Maybe some of them have something to say!? I also agree that people need to BE THERE and show some appreciation and enthusiasm for these kids and the school that they represent. I am so proud of them...GO JACKETS ALL THE WAY TO STATE!!!! P.S Let's have another big turnout at the game this week and yell really LOUD..

I agree. It shouldn't be held at a business. It should be at the stadium or even better...at the high school.

Blake Utter Ford?. The parking is going to be dangerous. Watch your little ones. We need to have it on the Yellow Jacket Field. Munson Stadium...Alot of fans that love the JAckets will stay at home for the P-R. But, They will attend the games.. Better location needed, Not a business. I drive a Jeep...

My husband and I went to the pep rally last week my gripe would be that there was really no one in charge and the football players needed to be in the front (of the cheerleaders) so that the crowd can cheer for them the football players were just walking and standing around not knowing what to do.... Why can't we have the pep rally at the football staduim or the gym??

My gripe about community pep rallies is that the "community" doesn't show up.... not even to the STATE pep rallies years ago! You have the players, cheerleaders, band and drill team... and their parents. Throw in a few students and rabid fans, and that's about it! Come on Denison! We need to SHOW UP and let the team see how much we appreciate their efforts. Let's make some noise and send them off in style! Go Big Black and Gold... All the Way to State!!
