Burglary of motor vehicle — Sept. 13, 2900 block N. U.S. 75, Officer Jack Melson. Between midnight and 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, someone broke into a vehicle at a local hotel. Taken was a laptop computer and a GPS unit. Entry was made by pulling the left rear window down on the locked vehicle.
Burglary of motor vehicle — Sept. 13, 1500 block S. Elm, Officer Tim Gann. Between 6 p.m. Monday and 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, someone broke the window on the complainant’s vehicle and stole the stereo unit from the car.
Burglary of motor vehicle — Sept. 13, 401 E. U.S. 82 (Walmart), telephone report. A complainant called to report that during the 15 minutes she was inside a store, someone got into her 1997 Honda Accord in the parking lot, which she left unlocked by mistake. Taken were a medical bag and its contents, a blood-pressure cuff, a stethoscope, and an oxygen level monitor, together valued at more than $1,500.
Theft of beer — Sept. 13, 1329 N. Grand Ave (One-Stop), telephone report. About 9:15 p.m., a man walked into a convenience store and selected two 18-packs of Bud Light beer, valued at $32, and left without paying for it. He drove away in a white vehicle.
Criminal mischief — Sept. 13, 800 block E. Jones, telephone report. A woman reported that someone went inside a home and vandalized it. They wrote on doors, removed other doors, threw rocks at the walls, and broke windows, causing damage estimated at between $500-$1,500.
Public intoxication arrest — Sept. 13, 1700 block N. FM 1417, Officer Michael Young. About 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Young saw a man walking south on FM 1417. As Young neared the pedestrian, his report states, he saw the man fall. Young got out to check on the man and determined he was intoxicated. He jailed the man on a charge of public intoxication.
