Denison PoliceArmed robbery -- Oct. 17, 400 block East U.S. Highway 69 (Sunshine Foods), Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened late Saturday at a convenience store. A masked man entered the store with a nickel-plated, semi-automatic pistol. He rushed to the counter and demanded money. The clerk complied and the man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The man is described as a white male who wore a red zipper-style hoodie on which the initials "R.L." were displayed in blue letters; a black undershirt and black ski mask; black wind pants with red stripes, and white tennis shoes. Police ask anyone with information to call the Denison Police Department at 903-465-2422.
Drug arrest -- Oct. 16, 100 block South Armstrong, Police stopped a vehicle because of a traffic violation. A search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia, and then resident of a substance that field-tested positive as crystal methamphetamine. A Pottsboro man, 27, went to jail on a charge of possession of controlled substance (meth) less than one gram. He posted $2,500 bond.

Burglary -- Oct. 20, 900 block North Broughton, A complainant told police that somebody had broken into the coin-operated machine inside a business.
