Denison firefighters make short work of house fire

By MARY JANE FARMER

Herald Democrat

DENISON -- Fire Lt. Bruce Geilhausen said that around 5 p.m., firefighters were called to a possible structure fire at a home on West Johnson. Geilhausen said a resident was spraying insulation inside the house. The insulation got too close to a Dearborn gas heater, causing a flash over, where the temperature in a room will force combustible materials in that space to burst into flame. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before serious damage was done.
