BONHAM -- A middle-aged, unidentifid man died Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle near F.M. 898 and State Highway 121 near Bonham.

Details have not been made available by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Fannin County Sheriff Kenneth Moore confirmed the fatality. He said their dispatch received a 911 call at 9:46 p.m. about a pedestrian in the F.M. 898 roadway. A minute later, a subsequent 911 caller said a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

Bonham EMS and Fannin County deputies were at the scene with Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Carmen Barker, Moore said.
