The production is the stage adaptation of the best-selling book by Barbara Robinson. It revolves around the efforts of a mother who suddenly finds herself put in charge of the annual Christmas pageant. She's then forced to cast the leading roles with the Herdman siblings from "the other side of the tracks," who may be the "meanest, nastiest and most inventively awful kids in history."

Heading the cast as the horrible Herdmans are Dallas Fleck, Karlie Bannister, Luke and Audrey Altnether, Luke Maher and Jesse Childress. Cast as the befuddled mother and her family are Kelly Lane, John Markl, Abby Baca and Jordan Pittman. Adult cast members include Mary Lonnevik, Diane Hudson, Marcia McCloure and Frank McGraw. Playing shepherds, wise men and angels are Maranda Mace, Alex Mazzant, Roxanne Lane, Mark Cappio, Triston Bannister, Jackson Shumate, Reed Thornton and Reece Larson. Rounding out the cast as the angel choir are Sophia Allen, Macy and Sophie Baca, Alyssa Cherry, Christina Childress, Emma Cobb, Jayla Goodman, Shaylee Gregory, Kylie Harlan, Jonae Mitchell, Brett Olmstead, Sam Shumate, Mattie Speaker and Alexus Walker-Harris.

Production personnel for the show include Mickie Martin as stage manager, assisted by Leah, Rebecca and Rachel Martin, with Rebecca Martin also serving as costume coordinator. SCP technical director Webster Crocker will be in charge of the scenic design.
