A year With Frog and Toad is a jazzy musical based on the books by Arnold Lobel. The audience will embark on a year-long adventure with the characters Frog and Toad, along with the animals of the woods.

Due to number of talented actors, Webster Crocker, Theatricks Director, opted to increase the cast size from five to 10. Playing the lead roles of the production are Jeffery Hunter, a 2009 Sherman High School graduate, playing the role of Frog, and Derek George), a junior at Howe High School, playing Toad. Making up the production's remaining roles as well as the barber shop-styled chorus are: Amber Clay (Bird, Turtle and Mole), a Denison home-schooled senior; Lauren Fanning (Bird, Mouse, Mole), a freshman of Sherman High School; Darius Thomas (Bird-Man, Father Frog, Mole), a 2009 Sherman graduate; MJ Martin (Bird, Mother Frog, Mole), a mom of two; Taylor Walker (Bird, Turtle, Mole), a junior at Sherman High School; Samantha Crocker (Bird, Young Frog, Mole), a home-schooled Sherman senior; Martha Hayes (Bird, Large and Terrible Frog, Mole), a seventh grader of B. McDaniel Middle School in Denison; and Zeke Dolezalek (Snail, Mole), a junior of Denison High School.

Adding to the production will be a live, jazz combo band made up of professional musicians, high school and college students. Band members include: Pat and Reese Brentzel; Steve McLean; Kathryn Thompson, a sophomore of Sherman High School; Ben Roelke, 2009 SHS graduate; Henri Roelke, an SHS senior; Eric Brentzel, an Austin College junior; Andrew Wilson, a Texas A&M-Commerce senior; Adam Grigsbay, a 2009 SHS graduate; Cathy Sauls; and band leader, Pam Hamer.

Completing the production is the backstage crew of Will Reynolds, Joey Oliver, Lexi Thornhill, Jonathan Morris, Meredith Foster, Peter Bellerman, and home-schooled ninth grader, Drew Crocker, as prop and backstage master.
