Grayson County Republican Women to meet
When Sherman resident Amos Mazzant left the 5th Court of Appeals to become a U.S. magistrate judge, a vacancy was left for Gov. Rick Perry to fill by making an appointment.
The Governor chose Plano resident Robert M. Fillmore on May 6.
Fillmore will visit Grayson County Friday to speak to the Grayson County Republican Women's Club. The public is invited to meet at noon in the upper level meeting room.
Fillmore has been a partner in the Dallas office of Hunton & Williams as a regulatory lawyer. His resume describes his appellate experience as "the supervision of litigation teams and appellate advocacy." The Texas State Bar shows that he is a graduate of the University of Kansas Law School in 1977 and that his primary practice area is public utility law.
GCRW meet on the third Friday of each month at noon at Kelly Square in Sherman. The club also has a website: www.graysoncountyrepublicanwomen.org.
