Larry Wall, president of the Sherman Council for the Arts and Humanities, announced that art, crafts and retail boutique vendors who want to participate in the 27th annual Sherman Arts Festival will get a special early bird rate on booth spaces, good until Aug. 1.
The 2009 event is scheduled for Sept. 19. Complete information and application forms are available at the Web site listed below. Once potential vendors reach the Web site, they can navigate to the festival page by clicking on the Celebrate ART icon, then scrolling to the appropriate section.
The arts council is also still seeking festival food vendors, and information for vending food can be found on the same Web page. Vendors are urged not to delay applying, as the council seeks to avoid duplication among vendors' offerings. Sherman Arts Festival's 2009 attendance was 12,000, creating a good venue for area vendors. The event is marketed to North Texas and Southern Oklahoma.
