Red River Museum lecture series takes place on March 26
The Red River Historical Museum, 301 S. Walnut in Sherman, will host its monthly Lunch Lecture Series on March 26 at noon. The program is free and open to the public, and the Jones Street door of the museum will be opened at 11:30 a.m. for easy access to the lecture room.
Featured speaker will be Jesse Gunn Stephens who will present "Wildflowers of the Red River Valley." Stephens, a Grayson County Master Gardener, writes a weekly column, "In Your Backyard," that appears in the Herald Democrat. She has also authored several books, the latest of which "When to Do What in Your Texoma Yard and Garden," which will be available for sale after the lecture.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch. Chips and drinks will be available for a small donation.
Lunch Lectures are made available through matching grants from the Sherman Council for the Arts & Humanities and Friends of the Red River Historical Museum. For more information, call Marcia Rolbiecki, museum director, at 903-893-7623.
