Sherman man killed while changing tire

<p>A tragic vehicle-pedestrian collision took the life of Sherman resident Britain Freeman early Sunday morning.
</p>

<p>Sherman police Sgt. Chris Mullins reported that Mr. Freeman, 20, was on U.S. Highway 82 about 4 a.m. changing a flat tire on his vehicle. A passing eastbound car struck Mr. Freeman. Sherman EMS took Mr. Freeman to Texoma Medical Center where, Mullins said, he was pronounced dead.

<p>Sherman P.D.'s Critical Accident Investigation Team has been assigned to investigate the fatality. Mullins said it was his understanding that no charges have been filed against the driver.
</p>

<p> Mullins added it was also his understanding that Mr. Freeman's vehicle was parked well off the roadway.
</p>
