Graffiti -- March 7, 400 S. Lillis (B. McDaniel Middle School), Someone spray-painted lettering on the outside of the school building.
Assault and arrest -- March 7, 9:20 p.m. 2200 block West Morton, A woman said her husband had been drinking and began calling her names. He then grabbed her by the hair and punched her, causing her to fall. Police jailed the suspect, 34, on a charge of assault causing bodily injury-family violence and two outstanding theft by check warrants issued by Henderson County.
Criminal mischief -- March 6, 1800 block Woodlawn Blvd., A man said some people drove by in a red Jeep Cherokee and peppered his vehicle with eggs.
Stolen GPS systems -- March 5, 2900 block Sidney and 200 block South Barnett, Two victims reported that someone broke out the driver's side windows on their vehicles and stole GPS units from inside them.
Stolen computer -- March 5, 2800 block West Crawford, A woman said that while she was gone from her apartment for several hours, someone got inside it and took her laptop computer. Eppler said police are talking to possible suspects.
Burglary -- March 6, 900 block West Sears, During the past two weeks someone took several expensive tools, including a framing nail gun and compressor, from inside a residence.
Fannin County Sheriff
Gober area burglary -- March 6, CR 3335, Someone entered the complainant's barn and stole hand tools, valued at $75.
Ladonia area disturbance -- March 7, Paris Street, A complainant said, according to the report, that another woman had assaulted her.
Durant Police
Possession of drugs -- March 8, 500 block North McLean, Police arrested a man, 30, under on a charge of public intoxication. A search of the man arrested uncovered a clear cellophane bag containing 2-1/2 white tablets, which were identified in the report as hydrocodone. Police also found there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Vehicle burglaries -- March 6, 2:56 a.m., 3800 block North 1st Avenue (Transco Logistics), A complainant stated that about 4:30 p.m., he parked his assigned Peterbilt TT tractor-trailer in the parking lot, along the south fence and facing north. About 6 p.m., management left the business and advised that all trucks were secure. At about 2:45 a.m., the complainant went back to his truck in order to get it ready for the day. He saw that its door was open. As he looked through the truck, he noted that several items were missing, including a CB radio, a gray plastic toolbox with miscellaneous wrenches, and a chain off the headache rack. The windshield was also broken.
Arrests -- March 6, 3:44 p.m., 100 block South McLean, The two officers went to a home to serve two warrants against a 31-year-old man. Police arrested two men on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia (bong), resisting an officer, obstruction of officer in his duties. The older suspect was also served with the warrant.
