Police reports Sherman Police
Assault by threat -- Oct. 24, Wilson N. Jones Hospital, A Sherman police officer became the victim of an attempted assault while he and reporting officer were attempting to calm down the man in the hospital's emergency room. The suspect, a Whitesboro man, 32, was intoxicated. Police jailed him on a charge of assault by threat, which carries a $256 fine.
Burglary of habitation -- Oct. 23, 200 block East King, Between 6:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Friday, when the complainant returned home from work, someone took money and jewelry and left behind evidence at the victim's home.
Theft over $1,500 -- Oct. 23, 100 block East Cottage, A complainant told police that somebody stole a trailer, and that he had found it parked behind a residence a few blocks away.
Burglary -- Oct. 23, 1800 block West Washington, Someone went inside a residence and stole property.
Criminal mischief -- 1000 block North Leslie Avenue, Someone shot windows with a pellet gun.
Criminal mischief -- Oct. 24, 500 block South Gribble, Between midnight and 8 a.m. Saturday, someone threw rocks at a parked vehicle, causing damage estimated at more than $50.
Criminal trespass, criminal mischief -- Oct. 24, 1300 block East Ida Road, Between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday, the complainant's former boyfriend broke a window to get inside her residence.
Burglary -- Oct. 24, 3700 block Heatherwood, Between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday, while the complainant was away from a residence, his wife noticed that a vehicle on the property had been rummaged through and the garage door opened. When the complainant returned home, he found tools missing from the garage.
Theft over $1,500 -- Oct. 25, 2100 block Texoma Parkway, Police are searching for the person who drove away a complainant's vehicle. It is a dark blue 2008 Hyundai Elantra with Oklahoma license plate number 793GRX. It has dark tint on the windows and a small dent on the rear passenger side door. The front license plate holder has a sign with "Huffines Hyundai McKinney Texas" written on the it.
Burglary -- Oct. 25, 3001 Loy Lake Road (Loy Lake Mobile), A business alarm called police to the store, where they found someone had pried open the doors and taken several cartons of cigarettes.
Burglary -- Oct. 25, 5100 block North Travis. Between 5 p.m. Saturday and 11:31 a.m. Sunday, someone broke the glass from the rear door of a building. Once inside, the thief broke the glass from another door to get inside a workout room. There, he took a 32-inch, flat-screen television.
Burglary-family violence -- Oct. 25, 700 block South Andrews, A woman told police that her former boyfriend assaulted her inside her home.
Durant Police
Pursuit -- Oct. 24, Police attempted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet for speeding and failing to stop for a stop sign. Instead of stopping for the officer, the driver sped ahead to 100 mph. The report said the driver forced other motorists to the shoulder as it sped down S. 9th Avenue. When it reached a turn in the road, the driver crossed the Chevy over the center line, forcing traffic to swerve to the shoulder to avoid head-on collisions.
Police jailed the suspect, 20, on charges of eluding an officer, driving while under the influence-2nd or more offense, speeding, and failure to stop at a stop sign.
