Police reports Denison Police
Burglary -- March 1, 100 block Twining, Police reported that someone broke through a bedroom window and got inside a home, then left with a 47-inch rental television.
Theft over $1,500 -- March 2, 4600 block U.S. Highway 75, A woman reported that she left her purse at her desk while she went to lunch. Later in the day, after leaving work, she discovered $1,700 missing from it.
Burglary -- March 1, 1000 block West Johnson, Somebody broke the glass out of a door, but the homeowner found him standing outside the house in some bushes when she pulled up to the house. Nothing was missing.
Burglary -- Feb. 28, 2500 block Village Circle, A complainant said she left her vehicle unlocked, and then somebody took her purse and its contents. A neighbor reported seeing three men in a nearby wooded area, appearing to have been going through a purse. The men ran when a siren sounded, dropping the purse. The neighbor retrieved it. Taken was $40 cash.
Burglary -- Feb. 27, 3500 block FM 120 (Kentucky Fried Chicken), A man caught a couple of juveniles inside his vehicle and, Eppler said, they had taken the owner's manual and some change. The investigation showed that other juveniles had also been involved.
Criminal mischief -- March 1, 1100 block South Perry, Somebody broke out a window in a company-owned vehicle, leaving damages estimated at about $300.
Sherman Police
Marijuana arrests -- March 2, 3600 block S. U.S. Highway 75 at FM 1417, K-9 Officer Michael Young.
Young stopped a vehicle on the highway late Tuesday because of a moving violation. A search netted 10 pounds of marijuana and a handgun. Two men, ages 54 and 52, were jailed on charges of felony possession of marijuana between 5-50 pounds. The younger also was charged with an illegal weapons offense.
Burglaries -- March 1 and March 2, telephone reports. Several vehicles were broken into.
* 1600 Lasalle, entry made by breaking a window, taken was radio and electronic equipment;
* 1800 block Park Place, No point of entry given, briefcase stolen, also tires slashed;
* 700 block South FM 1417, window broken out, stereo taken;
* 301 South FM 1417, Driver window broken out, taken was a GPS system;
* 3500 block North U.S. Highway 75, Window shattered out, taken was a purse and tote bag.
Burglary of habitation -- March 2, 3000 block Northridge, Between noon and 3 p.m. Tuesday, someone broken into a house and took unspecified items.
