Obama Holiday Tree rumor is false
<p>I've had a few e-mail questions asking is President Obama having a Holiday Tree instead of the traditional White House Christmas Tree.
</p>

<p>That internet rumor is false according to a wide variety of sources including Snopes.com and the Annenberg Public Policy Center.
</p>

<p>According to Snopes .com, the rumor is a carryover from the Bush Administration policy of prohibiting religiously-themed ornaments.
</p>

<p>The ornaments for this year's tree come from Arizona school students who made more than 10,000 of them for the Capitol Christmas Tree and 80 smaller companion trees that are being provided for federal agency offices around Washington D.C.</p>
