Denison Police

Armed robbery -- Nov. 15, 5:30 a.m., 1420 S. Austin (Passport convenience store), Officer Darren Riddick. A silent alarm called police to a convenience store. The clerk told police that a man entered the store and held a knife to her neck, demanding she open the cash register. She did. He reached inside it, grabbed the cash, and even looked beneath the tray searching for more money. He fled with the money and with two packs of cigarettes.

The robber is described as a white male about 6-feet tall. He wore a black sweatshirt with a hood, a white mask, and gloves.

Shooting -- Nov. 14, 900 block North Armstrong, Someone called police to report that a single shot had been fired at a particular person in a crowd.

Assault arrest -- Nov. 13, Trout Lane, A woman told police her former boyfriend was moving out. He came over to gather his belongings and they argued. The disagreement turned physical, and when she tried to call police, he grabbed and broke her cell phone. Police jailed the 22-year-old man on charges of assault causing injury and interfering with an emergency call. He posted $3,000 bond Saturday.

Two stolen motorcycles -- Twice, motorcycle owners have reported to police that their motorcycles were stolen. The first was taken over Saturday night. The owner told police that he left it parked at a nightclub because he felt like he had had too much to drink, so he grabbed a ride with someone else. When he returned Sunday morning to get it, the 2003 custom motorcycle, valued at $16,000, was gone. It carries the Texas license plate 433-U4Y.

On Monday morning, a woman reported that someone took her 2006 black and silver Suzuki GS5 motorcycle from the 800 block of West Johnson. She valued it at $7,500.

Stolen 3-wheeler -- Nov. 14, 2900 block West Elm, The previous weekend, somebody took a 3-wheeler which had been parked in a yard and a self-propelled law mower, which had been stored inside a shed.

Rent house burglary -- Nov. 13, 200 block Pershing, During the past three weeks, somebody got inside a vacant house and replaced its front door deadbolt doorknob with a brand new one. Missing is a Sawzall, valued at $100.

Burglary of vehicle -- Nov. 13, Whispering Oaks, Between mid-afternoon and 7 p.m. Thursday, someone entered a garage and burglarized the vehicle inside it. Taken was a CD case and seven CD's, with an estimated value of $150.

Burglary of vehicle -- Nov. 13, 800 block Ray Drive, Someone broken into a parked 2007 Dodge pickup and stolen the bow and arrow set inside it.

Burglary of shop -- Nov. 12, 1000 block Oak Ridge, Someone broke into a shop between Oct. 31 and Thursday, taking an electric chain saw valued at $100.

Burglary of building -- Nov. 13, 500 block South Mirick, Someone broke into a business and took a bottle of nitrous oxide and the gauges and tubes with it, plus five cases of lydocaine, with a combined value of $5,500.

Sherman Police

Nov. 13, 900 block East Summit, A man told police that someone went inside his house while he was asleep. He woke up when he heard a noise and saw his own vehicle driving off. 

Nov. 13, 4200 block Quail Run Road, A complainant told police that, overnight, someone entered a model home and took a flat-screen television, computer equipment, and a generator.

Nov. 4, 1400 block South FM 1417, Someone took $30 cash and a wallet from a vehicle which had been left unlocked.

Nov. 14, 800 block South Travis, The resident said a man forced his way into her apartment and slapped her. He was gone when police arrived.

Nov. 15, 818 N. Travis (Kentucky Fried Chicken), An alarm went off and dispatch sent police to the fast-food restaurant, where they found the glass in a door broken out.

Nov. 13, 1400 block South Walnut, A man, 21, told police that his girlfriend hit him in the head.

Nov. 13, 1600 block North Ross, A victim told police her husband had choked her, pulled her hair, and struck her in the face twice.

Nov. 14, 300 block South FM 1417, Several people claimed to have been assaulted.

Nov. 14, 1700 block North Highland, Police were called following an argument based on an employee termination. One person struck the other in the face.

Nov. 14, 8 p.m., 2900 block North U.S. Highway 75, Officer Ryan Hapiuk. A fight between a man and a woman resulted in the report having been generated for assault by contact.

Nov. 14, 11:52 p.m., 2900 block North U.S. Highway 75, A man told police another man had assaulted him in the parking lot, then fled.

Nov. 15, 1600 block LaSalle, A man, 32, told police that five men attacked him in a parking lot, one of them with a pipe.

Forgery -- Nov. 13, A man drove off leaving his driver's license with a teller after he was told he couldn't cash his parent's checks.

Fraudulent use of identification -- Nov. 13, A woman told police that a utility company called her saying she owed them money. However, the report states, the woman doesn't have service through that utility company and never had. She then learned that someone had used her name, date of birth, and part of her Social Security number to get the utility connection.

Deadly conduct -- Nov. 13, 5600 block Texoma Parkway, Police were dispatched to a disturbance. Several people said they were looking at a motorcycle on a trailer. The truck driver and another person argued. The truck driver drove off with two people still on the trailer. He drove to Denison and ran red lights. The report said the driver knew the two people were still on the trailer and the completed report will be sent to the D.A.'s office for further action.
