<p>Van Alstyne senior running back Orion Thomas has been named as this week's <i>Herald Democrat</i>/107.3 Doc FM Texoma high school football Player of the Week.

<p>Thomas rushed 23 times for 251 yards and three touchdowns, including
the game-winner with 1:02 left, as Van Alstyne improved to 9-0 with a
27-21 victory on Friday night at Paris North Lamar.</p>
